We are excited to announce the International Summer School Program 2019 “The Heart of Borneo: Exploring Tropical Rain Forest and Its Local Wisdom” at Mulawarman University, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia, is now open for all students around the world.

This summer school will provide knowledge about the use of forest resources, especially from the mangrove forest for medicine and cosmetics based on local wisdom that applies to the Dayak community until these days. Summer school will also offer knowledge about the conservation of typical Borneo animals (orangutans).


Application Date : until July 1st, 2019          


Program Date : July 21st – 27th, 2019


Eligibility
1. Completed at least two years study, 

2. Complete the registration form and send us the nomination letter from international office of home university to: info@io.unmul.ac.id , until July 1st, 2019.

3. After receive the LoA, please E-mail us copy/scan of all documents needed (to: info@io.unmul.ac.idbefore July 17th, 2019.


Application Process 

1.)  Download and fill the application/registration form at:

and send together with nomination letter from international office of home university to: info@io.unmul.ac.id  (deadline: July 1st, 2019).

(RESULT of your application and Letter of Acceptance (LoA) will be sent to your email on or before July 4th, 2019). 

2.)  After receive the LoA, Please complete and send the other documents (the clear scanned copy) to info@io.unmul.ac.id , before July 17th, 2019.

• Passport photo page,
• Academic Transcript,
• Proof of English proficiency test (for non-English native speakers),
• 1 (one) page of Motivation Letter (written in English)

Financial Support 

• Program fees, accommodation, lunch, trips, city tour, airport pick-up and drop-off are FREE for all selected participant; and for Mulawarman University’s partner students.

• For other Indonesian students, the seat will be available for contribution IDR. 2.000.000.-

• All participants are responsible for air-tickets, visa, and travel and health insurance to Indonesia. 

Pre-Arrival and Arrival
• Visa
International Office of Mulawarman University will assist with information for visa application, for participants coming from countries that do not have free visa policy with Indonesia (if required).

•  Airport Transfer and Accommodation before Program
International Office will arrange complimentary airport transfer for International Summer School Program 2019 participant at:
1. Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto Airport, Samarinda.
2. Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Airport, Balikpapan.

Participant Buddy and Awards
All participants will be accompanied by Buddy Students, and after the program finished, participants will be awarded certificate of participation and 2 (two) credits.
